Jason R. Besecker, OD, MS


Dr. Jason Besecker received his BS and MS in biology from Boise State University and his optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. He completed internships in the treatment and management of ocular disease, pre- and post-operative surgical care, and primary eye care at Indiana University School of Optometry, Hudson Valley VA Medical Center, and at The Eye Institute of Utah.

With special interests in managing patients with glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome, as well as pre- and post-op surgical management and primary eye care, Dr. Besecker has a wide range of expertise and is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometry.

In 2014, he happily returned home to Boise, ID, with his wife Kelsi and their two children Hayden and Maya to join the Hollingshead Eye Center team. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, as well as playing soccer, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
