Ryan T. Barrett, MD

Expanding patient access to specialized medical & surgical corneal treatment.

Dr. Barrett graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He completed Medical School at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, before interning at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. For his ophthalmology residency, Dr. Barrett served the Houston, Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Barrett then completed the prestigious Lindstrom Fellowship, an additional year of training dedicated to cultivating a sub-specialty in anterior segment and refractive surgery.

Dr. Barrett joined the Hollingshead Eye Center team in 2016 with the primary focus of expanding our patients’ access to specialized medical and surgical treatment for corneal diseases and conditions, as well as providing refractive and cataract surgery.

When not with patients, Dr. Barrett enjoys road cycling, sprint triathlons, downhill skiing, soccer, fishing, alpine hiking/climbing, racquetball, reading, and fatherhood.
